ISLAMABAD: Huawei Pakistan recently hosted a Digital Week in Islamabad, featuring the latest technologies and solutions unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The event served as a convergence point for various sectors aiming to create a fully connected world, emphasizing physical infrastructure for greener, sustainable, and scalable technologies, alongside digitalization through Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, and 5 & 5.5G technologies.

Representatives from telecom, financial, government, and commercial sectors participated in the Digital Week, engaging in discussions on Cloud adoption, 5G transformation, and AI integration. Demonstrations of digital solutions showcased the symbiotic relationship between lifestyle improvements, sustainable business practices, and economic growth.

With a global workforce exceeding 207,000 across 170+ countries and regions, Huawei has dedicated 55% of its personnel to research and development, resulting in over 140,000 active patents worldwide. Huawei aims to bring digital connectivity to every person, home, and organization, envisioning a fully connected, intelligent world.

Yu Shaoning, Vice CEO Government and Public Affairs at Huawei, stated, “In Pakistan, our objective is to support the Government in building a robust ICT talent ecosystem and accelerate digitalization progress.”

Key success factors highlighted included personalized user experiences, adaptable business models, and scalable industrial applications. Cloud and AI solutions showcased innovative strengths aligned with development objectives, pushing the boundaries of the digital and intelligent era.

Huawei Cloud offers cutting-edge technologies such as AI and collaborative heterogeneous computing architecture, providing high-performance computing, mass data storage, security compliance, and flexible deployment options.

Attention was drawn to green solutions, including low carbon alternatives for physical infrastructure, crucial for Pakistan amidst climate change concerns. Green antennas and solar power solutions were emphasized for efficient and eco-friendly 5.5G networks.
